MONTGOMERY—Glendale Fish & Wildlife Area has initiated a “Dim the Lights” project to reduce light pollution in the park and protect its diverse wildlife.

The project aims to minimize the detrimental effects of excessive artificial light on wildlife, including disruptions to nocturnal activities, behavioral patterns, and overall habitat quality.
To support this initiative, Glendale Fish & Wildlife is inviting businesses and individuals to donate $80, which will fund the purchase of new, wildlife-friendly lighting fixtures.
Those interested in contributing to the “Dim the Lights” project can contact Rob Sullender at Glendale Fish & Wildlife by calling 812-674-0168.
