Obituary: Jewell Delores Terrell

August 12, 1932 – March 13, 2025

Jewell Terrell was born on August 12, 1932, to parents Chess Lewis and Nettie (Mitchell) Lewis. Jewell grew up in Guthrie and attended Needmore school. Jewell worked at RCA for 25 years and made many lasting friendships. 

Jewell married Ronald Terrell on October 6, 1987. They were happily married for 33 years and lived in Martinsville. Jewell enjoyed working in a tearoom in an antique shop, going to auctions, and having booths in consignment shops. Jewell had a unique talent for making beautiful and varied styles and sizes of baskets. 

Survivors include children, Chris Judah (Lisa) of Bedford, Lana Piller (Arthur) of Harrodsburg, Kathy Terrell of Greenwood, James Terrell (Alvina) of Brydstown, TN, Jeffrey Terrell of Lewisville, TX, Steven Terrell (Ronda) of Flower Mound, TX, Sandra Terrell of Little Elm, TX; grandchildren, Kristin Terrell (Scott) of Shelbyville, IN and Calan Terrell, Alexander Butler, and Dylan Lee, all of Texas; great-grandchildren, Lanie Williams, Braeden Foster and Seth Foster, all of Bloomington; and great great grandchildren, Josh Foster, Vanessa Mundy, and Ellie Martin, all of Bloomington. 

Jewell’s husband, Ronald Terrell; Jewell’s siblings, Kenneth Lewis, Elsie (Lewis) Blackwell, Verthel (Joe) Lewis; and Jewell’s granddaughter, Cinnamon (Piller) Foster, all preceded Jewell in death. 

Jewell spent 2 ½ years at Autumn Trace and made some very good friends. Jewell passed away at Stone Bridge in Bedford on Thursday morning, March 13, 2025. 

Jewell’s family would like to thank all the caregivers at Stone Bridge for their excellent care and compassion. We would also like to thank Southern Care Hospice for all their help caring for our mother. 

Her many friends and family will certainly miss Jewell.

Jewell chose not to have a service. Allen Funeral Home is in charge of Jewell’s arrangements.
