(COLUMBUS) – Bedford North Lawrence finished 9th in the 17-team field during the Columbus North Invitational boys cross country race on Saturday.
Cooper Holmes paced the Stars, finishing 23rd overall as BNL totaled 273 points. Columbus North won its own event with 53 points, clipping Noblesville on the fifth-man tiebreaker.
Holmes crossed the line in 16:29.3. Colton Sons was 56th in 17:22.6, and Ethan Vaughn was 59th in 17:26.2.
Whiteland’s Will Jefferson was the individual champion in 15:28.6, edging Bloomington North’s Paul Rushton (15:29.1) at the wire.
The Stars will compete in the Eagle Classic at Brown County on Sept. 14.
