INDIANAPOLIS – Bedford North Lawrence junior Ursula Patton capped her season with a 31st-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle during the IHSAA state preliminaries on Friday night.
Patton, seeded 27th after her sectional victory, touched the wall in 5:29.24. The top 8 in the field of 32 qualified for the state championship race, while positions 9-16 advanced to the consolation race on Saturday afternoon in the IUPUI Natatorium.
