BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence, which won a share of the Hoosier Hills Conference championship, placed three players on the All-HHC First Team.
Senior center Madison Webb, junior wing Chloe McKnight and junior forward Irye Gomez were all selected to the squad by the league coaches.
Webb, who has signed to play college basketball with SIUE, averaged 13.0 points and 6.3 rebounds for the Stars, who finished 21-6 with a regional title and 6-1 in the conference.
McKnight paced BNL in scoring at 14.1 (while hitting 71 3-pointers) and added 4.9 rebounds. Gomez averaged 12.5 points.
The rest of the First Team included Penn State signee Nan Garcia (who suffered a mid-season injury) and Kiersten Poor of Jeffersonville (the league co-champion), Koryn Greiwe of Columbus East, Jade Nutley of Madison, Addyson Kent of Jennings County, Layne Burke of New Albany and Grace Meyer of Seymour.
BNL senior Gracie Crulo-Rood earned Honorable Mention status. Crulo-Rood averaged 3.4 points and 1.8 assists, and she was one of the top defensive players in the league.
The other Honorable Mention selections included Gabby Dean of Columbus East, Lily Ernstes and Kali Thompson of Jennings County, Whitney Rankin of Columbus East, Kalissa Fosskuhl of Floyd Central, Kelsie James of Jeffersonville, Paige Young of Madison, Naria Reed of New Albany and Aidan Hiester of Seymour.
BNL’s Jeff Allen and Jeffersonville’s Mike Warren shared Coach of the Year honors.
