Five questions with Bedford North Lawrence senior Emily Webb
Sport: track; Career choice: sports medicine; College: Ivy Tech
Question 1: Who has been your role model?
Webb: My role models are my mom and dad because they show me a lot of things about life.
Question 2: What lessons for life did you learn from high school sports?
Webb: What I learned is that you manage your time to get everything in. And it’s always better if you make a friend or two along the way in your teams because they know how to support you and they’re there with you all the time.
Question 3: What was your reaction when the spring seasons were cancelled?
Webb: My first reaction was sad because I wanted to go to the state in unified track. And I wanted to get to throw with my friends for the last time in track.
Question 4: What will you miss most about high school?
Webb: All the sports and clubs I got to do, all the experiences of it that I got to learn from. And getting to help in the special education department was one of my favorite things.
Question 5: When the current restrictions are finally lifted, who’s the first person you want to see?
Webb: I will probably spend time with my family because family means a lot to me.
