SEYMOUR – Addyson Bailey and Olivia Sanders both carded even-par 36s on the front nine of Shadowood Golf Course while leading No.19 Bedford North Lawrence to a pair of victories during girls high school golf action on Tuesday.
The Stars posted a team total of 155 (for the second straight day), easily conquering Seymour (198) and Jennings County (211).
Ashley Chase added a 2-over 38, which included a birdie on the par-3 second hole, for BNL. Bailey had two birdies (holes 5 and 9) while Sanders tamed the par-5 fifth hole.
“That was really good,” BNL coach Aaron Sanders said of the team total. “Ashley got down into the 30s, which is where we need her to be. So we were rock solid, a pretty good night.
“The seniors are getting it done the past two nights, which is what they have to do. They have a lot of experience and know their tendencies. If they keep playing well and we get a little help, we’ll be pretty good. We’ll take that every night.”
Chloe McFaddin and Kennedy Blair suffered two double-bogeys apiece but still capped the scoring with 45s.
“That 155 is a good number and we still have some time left to improve on that before the end of the season,” Sanders said. “So we’ll just keep working and see what happens.”
Lainey Jackson paced Seymour with a 41, while Sohoa Curry totaled 43 for the Panthers.
The Stars will visit Bloomington South on Thursday.
